PASS Trust Triumphs! Honored with ‘2025 Woman of the Future’ Award for Empowering Women in Agribusiness
PASS Trust is proud to be recognized with the prestigious “Woman of the Future Award” at the Rising Woman Symposium 2025, an initiative of The Citizen Rising Woman Initiative Awards, hosted by Mwananchi Communications Limited, publishers of Mwananchi and The Citizen newspapers. This award is a testament to our dedication to promoting women’s leadership and empowerment, particularly in agribusiness, where we strive to drive meaningful and lasting change.
Held on March 7th at Mlimani City Conference Center, the Rising Woman Initiative Awards 2025 was officiated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Dotto Biteko. The event celebrated organizations that are leading the way in gender equality and women’s empowerment, with PASS Trust proudly emerging as the winner in the Woman of the Future Award category.
Ms. Doreen Mangesho, PASS Trust’s Director of Finance and Administration, received the award on behalf of the organization, expressing gratitude to the event organizers. She dedicated the award to all the women within PASS Trust, its subsidiary PASS Leasing, and the countless women across Tanzania who benefit from our agribusiness products and services.
At PASS Trust, our mission goes beyond recognition—we are committed to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for women in agriculture. Through our agribusiness support initiatives, we provide financial guarantees, resources, and training to empower women entrepreneurs. Recognizing the unique challenges they face, we continue to lead efforts that foster economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social inclusivity. Our financial guarantee covers up to 80% of loan amounts, helping women access the capital they need to grow their businesses.
As we look ahead, PASS Trust remains steadfast in its mission to create strong partnerships and collaborations to uplift women in agribusiness and beyond, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to thrive. Winning this award only strengthens our resolve to push boundaries, open doors, and create new possibilities for women across Tanzania as we positively contribute towards achieving the national goals.
