Mr. Charles Chenza is an accomplished economist and agribusiness leader with over three decades of experience in economic policy, financial markets, pension fund management, and rural development. He is the Executive Chairman of Wiza Group and the Founder of Unyiha Associates Limited, a firm dedicated to improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in southern Tanzania. He is a certified director of the Institute of Directors, Tanzania.
He previously worked as a Director of Planning and Investments at the Parastatal Pension Fund (PPF) and as an economist at the Bank of Tanzania, where he oversaw public debt instruments and fiscal analysis. Mr. Chenza has served on the boards and in advisory roles for institutions such as the Tanzania Fertilizer Regulatory Authority, Azania Bank, and the Dar Es Salaam Stock Exchange Council. He holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam and is an active advocate for financial inclusion and agricultural transformation. He joined the PASS Board in 2022, bringing expertise in governance, investment, and rural enterprise development.
